British Airways will begin offering travellers in its Club World business class on routes between London Heathrow and Australia new bedding and amenity kits from The White Company, starting with its Sydney service this autumn.

The new in-flight amenities form part of the airline’s £600 million (US$859.7 million) investment in its Club World offering, which will also see the introduction of display trolleys showcasing freshly prepared starters and desserts with new table settings.

Passengers travelling between London Heathrow Terminal 5 and destinations in Australia in Club World will also be given a The White Company cushion.

“We’re excited that customers travelling between the UK and Australia will soon be able to enjoy this bespoke bedding and have an even better sleep in the skies,” said Nicole Backo, regional general manager, South West Pacific for British Airways.

“Partnering with The White Company, another quintessentially British brand renowned for quality and style, is part of our investment in Club World and has been well received by our customers.”

The bedding comprises a bespoke double-sided pillow and pillowcase, designed for day and night use, as well as a woven blanket with satin trim, a luxury duvet and padded mattress cover.

The amenity kits, meanwhile, feature products from the retailer’s Restore and Relax Spa Collection, along with a jersey eye mask.

British Airways began partnering with The White Company on its Club World offerings back in July last year, with the products debuting on the airline’s London-New York route last October.

Business Traveller reviewed this route following the roll out of the new amenities late last year.

British Airways isn’t the only carrier to partner with The White Company, however. In January last year, fellow Oneworld carrier Qatar Airways announced a three-year partnership with the company to develop business and first class pyjamas.
