Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group now has a loyalty programme, which the group recently launched under the name Fans of MO.

The development is good news for travellers that regularly stay at Mandarin Oriental properties, who until now were unable to enjoy rewards for their stays.

However, travellers hoping to be able to accrue points for their stays that they will be able to redeem for free nights will be disappointed. The new Fans of MO programme doesn’t have membership tiers or points accrual, instead offering a number of set benefits simply for being a member – something you can do online for free.

All members automatically get complimentary wifi, a welcome amenity, personalised stay features, and exclusive offers and experiences, along with the choice of selecting two extra benefits from a choice of eight.

These include:

  • Early check-in from 12pm
  • Late check-out until 4pm
  • Daily breakfast
  • Dining or spa credit
  • Room upgrade
  • Streaming wifi capable of supporting downloads, streaming and games
  • A “Celebratory Treat”
  • Complimentary clothes-pressing services

It’s worth noting that these benefits do vary by hotel and date, and members will be able to see which offers are available to them when booking online through the group’s website.

Though if you’ve already made a booking at a qualifying rate, you can still join up to the programme and receive your benefits before your stay.
