Jet Airways is enhancing its economy class in-flight dining meals on all of its domestic routes.

For short duration flights (60 minutes), the airline will provide oven-proof snack boxes which keep the food hot and fresh. Popular options include samosas, chicken empanada, pizza Stromboli and a dessert item – all served at the right temperature.

The carrier is doing away with the traditional tray and cover set up by using new recyclable boxes. This initiative is expected to quicken their inflight service and reduce their carbon footprint as well.

“Delighting guests with an exceptional flying experience has always been our endeavour. This time, our focus is to refresh our economy meal service using innovative ideas. Innovation and guest delight are the cornerstones of our service philosophy and we will continuously work to improve our product offering,” says Jayaraj Shanmugam, executive vice president – products and services at Jet Airways.
