Regional airline Bmi has partnered with German car hire company Sixt to offer chauffeur drive packages through the firms My Driver service.

Passengers can pre-book the luxury chauffeur service at flybmi.com when flying on “most Bmi routes”, with travellers being collected directly from the arrivals terminal.

Bmi said that the new service was part of a move “towards offering an enhanced, integrated, comprehensive travel solution for its customers”, while Johannes Boeinghoff, MD of My Driver commented:

“Especially at regional airports it can be very convenient to pre reserve a transfer or private taxi service with Sixt My Driver, to seamlessly get to or from the airport at reasonable prices. We are very happy that Bmi offers their passengers our special service as part of the online reservation process.”

More known for its car rental services, Sixt is increasingly moving into the chauffeur drive sector with its My Driver concept, which launched in the US last year as an alternative to established firms Uber and Lyft.
