All Nippon Airways (ANA) will introduce free wifi on its domestic fleet from April 1, 2018.

The service will be made available on 100 planes to passengers of all classes by the end of 2018 and will be marked by the ANA wifi service logo near the entrance.

According to the airline, the aim of this service is to “give tourists exploring Japan an opportunity to plan their expedition wherever and whenever they wish”.

ANA will also be increasing the content on its in-flight entertainment (IFE) system to over 100 movies, TV shows and audio files, in addition to ANA Sky Live TV where domestic passengers can view live news and sports onboard.

The airline has also announced upgrades to its B777 and B787 domestic fleet by 2019, with the introduction of personal seat monitors, universal power ports and USB ports in line with the offering onboard its A321neo aircraft.
