The result of a A$500 million (US$378 million) investment, the Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour is located opposite the newly opened International Convention Centre, offering 590 guestrooms with the views of both Darling Harbour and the city. The Champagne Bar offers 20 different types of Champagne, and is the only hotel in Australia to have a special edition 3L Jeroboam of Cristal Brut valued at A$22,000 (US$16,600), contained within a bottle encased in 24-karat gold-dipped latticework handcrafted by two master goldsmiths.


CASA Meridian Residence

Owned by Capitaland’s The Ascott Limited, CASA Meridian Residence is located in Phnom Penh’s up-and-coming residential and retail hub of Diamond Island Koh Pich. It offers 75 residences on the top 13 floors of the 34-storey integrated development, CASA by Meridian, which also comprises a high-end shopping mall, office spaces and wellness facilities. Also available at the serviced residence is an infinity pool, jacuzzi, yoga room, sauna, club house, gym, meeting room and serviced office.

This new 275-room hotel is situated in a hotel complex with its sister property the Renaissance Suzhou Taihu Lake Hotel, both of which can be reached within a 40-minute drive from Wuxi Sunan Shuofang International Airport, Suzhou city centre and the Suzhou Industrial Park rail stations. The hotel has four restaurants and bars, serving a variety of cuisine ranging from Chinese grilled seafood to combined Suzhou and Southeast Asian fare.

Opened next to the Suzhou Marriott Hotel Taihu Lake, the aforementioned Renaissance hotel in Suzhou offers 224 rooms, 14 suites and two individual villas, all featuring natural spa-inspired bathrooms and balconies boasting views of Taihu Lake or Yuyang Mountain. Meetings facilities comprise more than 7,388 sqm of event space and a variety of function rooms, including four ballrooms, one boardroom and ten meeting rooms, as well as a 5,500 sqm outdoor lawn.

Capella Shanghai JYL - le Bar

Originally designed in the 1920s as workers’ residences by French architect Foncierre et Immobiliere, and built in the former French Concession of Shanghai, the Capella Shanghai Jian Ye Li city resort comprises  55 individual villas offering one to three bedrooms. The design sees the blending of traditional Chinese elements with French flair, such as chic panelled walls and silk wallpaper set against impressionist artwork and French-style furniture.

This new Tianjin hotel marks the 19th opening for the Courtyard by Marriott brand in Greater China. Located within a 30-minute drive from Tianjin Binhai International Airport, the hotel is also in close proximity to local attractions such as the Eye of Tianjin giant Ferris wheel and Ancient Culture Street. The 258-room hotel has 416 sqm meeting spaces including six meeting rooms.


Yogyakarta Marriott Hotel

Located a 20-minute drive from Adi Sutjipto International Airport, Yogyakarta Marriott Hotel is the first Marriott Hotels and Resorts branded property in Indonesia along with being the latest international-branded hotel in Yogyakarta, a city famous for the 18th-century historical Keraton Royal Palace, and one of the world’s largest Buddhist temples, Borobudur, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In addition to its 347 guestrooms and suites, the hotel offers M-Club, the largest club lounge in town, perfect for socialising.

This is the third Red Planet property in Japan, located in Nagoya, the largest city in the country’s Chubu region, which is home to a number of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The 211-room hotel is situated in the city centre near Nagoya train station and features a bright and modern lobby equipped with Apple computers, an “Info Wall” and an interactive selfie-taking screen.

Located within a five-minute walk from Kinshicho Station and an hour-long car ride from Narita Airport, the 205-room Moxy Tokyo Kinshicho makes its home in the urban Kinshicho district close to some of the city’s most popular tourist attractions, such as Tokyo Skytree, Tokyo Dome and the historic Asakusa Sensoji Temple. The hotel features stylish exposed brick walls, polished concrete floors and fun collaborative spaces.

Located 15 minutes from Kota Kinabalu International Airport, the Mercure Kota Kinabalu City Centre is also just a short distance from some of the city’s major shopping malls, eateries, entertainment hubs and the new Sabah International Convention Centre. The 25-storey building has 310 guestrooms, many of which enjoy views of the ocean. Dining outlets include Fratini’s Italian restaurant and Compass Lounge on the rooftop.


Pan Pacific Yangon

The 25-storey Pan Pacific Yangon offers 336 guestrooms and suites, with many overlooking views of the Shwedagon Pagoda, the Yangon River and the city. The hotel sits within Junction City and occupies a AAA location at the junction of Shwedagon Pagoda Road and Bogyoke Aung San Road. Its leisure facilities include an outdoor swimming pool with jacuzzi, a 24-hour fitness centre, and the signature St Gregory spa.

M Social Auckland Self Check In


M Social Auckland

Millennium Hotels and Resorts’ second M Social hotel recently opened in downtown Auckland, overlooking the Waitemata Harbour. The property has 190 guestrooms across five room and two suite categories. Each floor features a different theme created by local street artists introducing elements of local culture, such as fauna, marine life and literature. This is also the first hotel in the country providing self-service kiosks for check-in and checkout.


Andaz Singapore

The first Andaz hotel in Southeast Asia is located near Singapore’s Kampong Glam in Little India and the Bras Basah Bugis arts and entertainment hub, which is also a 20-minute drive from Changi Airport and a five-minute journey to the CBD. One of the key highlights of the property is the “Alley on 3” – a 1,375 sqm events alleyway, offering four residential-style event spaces. These include: The Glasshouse “glass-box” venue; the Garden Studio, which has an adjoining outdoor terrace; and two Studios available for smaller gatherings.

Courtyard Singapore Novena

The Courtyard by Marriott brand’s first property in Singapore has opened its doors in the Health City Novena area, a gateway to Singapore’s top healthcare centres. Facilities in the 250-room property include three F&B outlets, an outdoor rooftop infinity pool, an executive lounge and two meeting rooms. Guests can also participate in the fitness activities and guided community tours provided by the hotel.

Le Meridien Seoul Presidential Suite

Following a multimillion-dollar transformation, Le Meridien, Seoul has opened its doors in the centre of the Gangnam district. Developed in cooperation with award-winning London-based interior architecture and design firm, David Collins Studio, the hotel features 336 rooms and suites designed with natural materials, textiles and rich patterns as key design elements. The new Le Meridien also features large-scale local artworks, such as decorative woven and knotted threads on the doorhandles made using an ancient technique known as maedeup, and fine hand-stitched patterned fabrics on the windows.

This is the sixth Movenpick property in Thailand, located a ten-minute drive from Chiang Mai International Airport. The hotel’s 266-rooms are categorised from classic and superior to junior and family suite. Dining outlets serve a mixture of Thai and international cuisine at all-day dining eatery Feung Fah Restaurant, and Italian-Thai fustion restaurant, Le Bistrot, which has a terrace with views of the Night Bazaar.

Located in Phuket Old Town about an hour’s drive from Phuket International Airport, the 389-room four-storey Ibis Styles Phuket City features an all-inclusive concept, in which all rates include accommodation, breakfast and wifi. The Harmony Restaurant & Bar serves western and Asian cuisine, while the terrace bar has a chill-out space overlooking a lush garden for an evening drink.

Renaissance Pattaya Resort and Spa

The 257-room Renaissance Pattaya Resort and Spa is located in the Na Jomtien district of the coastal town of Pattaya. Its design is inspired by the serene beach setting of Na Jomtien and the local fishing village that Pattaya once was, using local Thai silk, cotton, chenille and jute fabrics throughout the design. Meanwhile cocktail enthusiasts can head to the R-Bar, which has a signature programme that introduces different handcrafted cocktails every day, showcasing local tropical ingredients, ranging from Lemongrass Mojitos to Coco Martinis.

Situated in District 3 of Ho Chi Minh City, Sherwood Suites Saigon offers 157 apartments ranging from 57 sqm studios to 118 sqm two-bedroom apartments. There is also an outdoor deck on the first floor featuring a covered 20-metre-long pool and an outdoor jacuzzi, while the pool bar offers a menu of light bites, premium drinks and handcrafted cocktails.

All 310 rooms of the Ibis Styles Nha Trang have bright and colourful designs, and the floor-to-ceiling windows allow guests to enjoy views of Nha Trang’s beach.
