Hot on the heels of Marriott’s new W Suzhou, which opened at the end of September, Le Meridien Hotels and Resorts similarly made its brand debut in the Chinese city with this new “French romance meets classical Jiangnan” property. The hotel’s 285 rooms and suites offer views of Lake Taihu or the city, while six of villa rooms also come with their own exclusive hot springs. Guests looking to sample the hotel’s French character should head to the Le Meridien Hub lobby lounge, where a 24-hour soundtrack curated by French band Nouvelle Vague can be heard while sampling the éclairs and evening aperitif-inspired sparkling cocktails.
