Malaysia gets first Sofitel

Accorhotels has opened its first Sofitel property in Malaysia. The Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara is located in Damansara Heights, about an hour’s drive from Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

The new property is a part of a 34,400 sqm integrated complex by Guocoland, which comprises two luxury apartments, two corporate office towers and a lifestyle mall.

The hotel is close to Kuala Lumpur Sentral railway station and within walking distance of the Pusat Bandar Damansara MRT station.

The interior is designed by Wilson Associates and blends local heritage with a modern aesthetic.

The 312 rooms range from the 43 sqm Luxury Room to a 187 sqm Imperial Suite, featuring Sofitel’s “My Bed” bedding concept, free wifi, and premium amenities by Lanvin and Hermes.

Suite guests can access the Club Millesime executive lounge, which offers views of the city’s skyline and provides complimentary breakfast, all-day refreshment and evening cocktails.

Five F&B offerings include an all-day dining restaurant Kwee Zeen serving Pan-Asian cuisine, Wan Chun Ting Chinese restaurant, French Riviera-inspired restaurant Nizza, Sofitel Deli café and Le Bar for French wines and afternoon tea.

A range of event facilities includes the pillarless 1,100 sqm Wau Bulan Ballroom (capable of hosting up to 800 guests), as well as six meeting rooms.

Leisure facilities include an outdoor pool, So Fit gym and the So Spa, which offers Moroccan hammam bath treatments.
