Business Traveller rounds up new, renovated and upcoming hotels from brands including Bulgari Hotels and Resorts, Hilton, IHG and Four Seasons.

Holiday Inn Express Tuxpan, Mexico
IHG has launched its third property in the Mexican city of Tuxpan. The new-build will join IHG properties, Holiday Inn Tuxpan and Crowne Plaza Tuxpan located nearby. Positioned along the Pantepec River, the property is a five-minute drive from the beach, offering 132 rooms, a 24-hour gym, indoor and outdoor pools and meeting space.Rooms come with 40-inch TVs, ironing facilities, a minibar and in-room coffee machine.

Millennium Hilton One UN New York
Following a US$68 million renovation, Hilton is set to relaunch Millennium Hotels’ One UN New York as the Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza on August 30. Located across from the UN Headquarters, the hotel offers 439 refreshed rooms using a warm taupe and bronze colour scheme, fine leather armchairs and views of the east river. An all day dining restaurant offers international cuisine alongside a casual café and the executive Skyline Club on the 30th floor, which can also be accessed for a daily fee. A tennis court and gym are also on offer.
Homewood Suites by Hilton Charleston Historic District, South Carolina
Hilton’s Homewood Suites brand has opened in Charleston. The 139-suite extended stay property offers studio suites and two-room suites with kitchens, living areas and bedrooms. Guests can also take advantage of the on-site business centre with printers and workspace, a gym, bar, outdoor pool and patio and 279 sqm of meeting space.
Hyatt Centric Lima, Peru
Expected to open in January next year, this Hyatt Centric will mark the brand’s first foray into Peru. The 254-room hotel will be located on Avenida Basadre in the San Isidro municipality – an area known for its galleries and luxury boutiques. The brand is expanding its presence in Latin America with the Hyatt Centric Las Condes in Chile due to open the following month, with 166 rooms in Santiago’s financial district.

Four Seasons, Kuwait
Four Seasons is expected to open a Kuwait property in early September – located in the 22-storey Burj Alshaya tower. The 284-room hotel features panoramic views from its rooftop restaurants showcasing pan-Asian cuisine at Sintoho and Italian at Dai Forni. On the ground floor, the Al Mirqab ballroom can host up to 450 for banquets and 700 for receptions. A second ballroom, the Al Bidaa Ballroom, will host up to 1,350 for receptions. For smaller functions, four rooms are available – ideal for board meetings and exclusive private dining.

Hotel G Yangon, Myanmar
Opening early September, this new lifestyle hotel will offer 85 rooms in Yangon’s entertainment district – surrounded by art galleries, shopping malls and within reach of the city’s Bogyoke Aung San market. Rooms have been designed using “wood tones that contrast with vividly coloured walls and artworks”, and come with free wifi, a Handy phone loaded with free local and international calls and data, an LED smart TV, a safe and tea and coffee making facilities. Hotel G is a brand under Asian lifestyle-hospitality management group GCP Hospitality.

Marbella Nido, Corfu
Marbella Hotels is set to unveil a property in Corfu next year. Perched on the edge of the Ionian Sea, the adults-only hotel will offer junior and deluxe suites alongside private villas. The hotel’s main restaurant, San Giovanni, serves Greek specialties, Italian dishes, international cuisine and seafood dishes. The property also has a bar near the main pool and another in the lobby.

Bulgari Beijing
Expected to open in September, Bulgari Hotels and Resorts is launching its first property in the Chinese capital. Designed by Italian architectural design firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, the hotel has 119 rooms featuring custom-designed furniture from brands including Maxalto and B&B Italia. Guests can enjoy cocktails, champagne at the brand’s signature steel and bronze oval bar, which opens out to the outdoor terrace. Other features include the 1,500 sqm Bulgari spa with 11 treatment rooms, a gym, a 25-metre mosaic-tiled pool and refreshment bar.
