Independent boutique hotel The Mandrake will open in London this month.
The 34-room property is located on Newman Street off Oxford Street, with rooms set over four floors “rising up from the striking central courtyard surrounded by hanging gardens of jasmine and passion flower”.
The hotel will feature a London outpost for Michelin-starred Hong Kong restaurant Serge et le Phoque, which according to its Facebook page offers progressive French cuisine, “in which traditional French layers are removed”.
The holding website for the Mandrake Hotel says that the property will combine “eclectic, vibrant interiors, extraordinary art, intriguing soundscapes and specially designed scents”, resulting in “an ambience that is intimate, distracting and intriguing at every turn”.
A full website “will be coming at the end of August” – for now room and restaurant reservations can be made by email at [email protected] and [email protected] respectively.
