Vietnam Airlines is now operating out of Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport’s newer, higher-capacity Terminal 3 as of this week, about 2km from its old home in Terminal 2.

The check-in area for the Vietnamese carrier is now situated at Area C and includes four counters – C4, C5, C6 and C7. Area C is one of three check-in areas at the terminal, each of which has 26 counters.

Members of the airline’s Lotusmiles frequent-flyer programme also will be able to make use of the airline’s dedicated T3 business class lounge, situated on the mezzanine between the second and third floors. The lounge is open to Platinum and Gold members, as well as business class passengers, and SkyPriority is currently offered at T3.

These benefits seem set to be complemented further in future, as other SkyTeam Alliance airlines currently plan to shift to T3 also – notably Korean Air, KLM, China Airlines and Garuda Indonesia, among others.

Vietnam Airlines also recently shifted its operations at Da Nang International Airport in May, from the older Terminal 1 to the new Terminal 2 building.
