30 new transatlantic routes

Business Traveller rounds up new and forthcoming transatlantic routes from carriers including British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Norwegian, Singapore Airlines and KLM.

Air Canada Rouge

AIR CANADA ROUGE

Air Canada’s low-cost subsidiary is to launch a summer seasonal service between Gatwick and Vancouver on June 8, operating three times-weekly using B767-300ER aircraft.

Austrian Airlines has launched a five times-weekly service between Vienna and the West Coast US city (rising to daily from June 13).

British Airways New Orleans

London Heathrow-New Orleans

British Airways has launched a four times-weekly service to the Big Easy, using a three-class B787-8 aircraft.

London Gatwick-Oakland San Francisco Bay

The flag carrier has also launched a four times-weekly service from Gatwick to Oakland International airport, located around 20 miles from San Francisco.

London Gatwick-Fort Lauderdale

BA will launch flights from Gatwick to Fort Lauderdale on July 6, operating three times-weekly (rising to four during the peak summer period).

Lisbon-New York JFK

Delta will launch a new daily seasonal service between the Portuguese capital and New York on May 25, operated by B757-200 aircraft.

Dublin-Boston

The US carrier will also launch a new daily seasonal service between Dublin and Boston on May 25, operated by 164-seat B757-200 aircraft.

The Dutch carrier will launch a twice-weekly Dreamliner route to the Costa Rican capital from the end of October.

IAG's Level low-cost long-haul carrier

Barcelona-Los Angeles

IAG’s new low-cost, long-haul subsidiary Level will launch twice-weekly flights to LA from June 1.

Barcelona-Oakland San Francisco Bay

Level will also launch thrice-weekly flights to Oakland from June 2, operated by A330 aircraft with 293 economy and 21 premium economy seats.

Barcelona-Buenos Aires

The carrier will launch thrice-weekly flights to the Argentine capital from June 17.

Barcelona-Punta Cana

And Level will launch twice-weekly flights to the Dominican Republic from June 10.

LOT has launched a four times-weekly non-stop service between the Polish capital and Los Angeles, operated by a three-class B787 aircraft.

Norwegian will launch a thrice-weekly service from Belfast to Stewart International airport (around 70 miles north of New York) from July 1.

Belfast-Boston (TF Green airport, Providence)

The low-cost carrier will also launch a twice- weekly service from Belfast to TF Green airport (around 60 miles south of Boston) from July 1.

Cork-Boston (TF Green airport, Providence)

Norwegian will launch a three-times weekly service from Cork to TF Green airport from July 1.

Dublin-Boston (TF Green airport, Providence)

The carrier will launch a five-times weekly service from Dublin to TF Green airport from July 1.

Dublin-New York (Stewart International airport)

Norwegian will launch a daily service from Dublin to Stewart International airport  from July 1.

Edinburgh- New York (Stewart International airport)

Low-cost carrier Norwegian will launch a daily service from Edinburgh to Stewart International airport  from June 15.

Edinburgh-Boston (TF Green airport, Providence)

Norwegian will launch a four times-weekly service from Edinburgh to TF Green airport from June 16.

Edinburgh-Hartford / Springfield (Bradley International airport)

Norwegian will launch a three times-weekly service from Edinburgh to Bradley International airport (located around 15 miles from both Hartford and Springfield) from June 17.

London Gatwick-Seattle

Low-cost carrier Norwegian is to launch a year-round route from Gatwick to the US West Coast city, with a four times-weekly service starting in September.

London Gatwick-Denver

Finally Norwegian is to launch a year-round route from Gatwick to the Colorado capital, with a twice-weekly service starting in September.

The Scandinavian carrier is to launch a weekly service between the Swedish capital and Miami from October 29, operated by an A330 aircraft featuring the carrier’s latest interior cabins.

Singapore Airlines has launched fifth freedom flights between Manchester and Houston, operating five times-weekly using A350 aircraft.

Virgin will launch a winter seasonal route between London and Barbados from December 12, operating twice-weekly.

Manchester-San Francisco

The carrier has launched a thrice-weekly summer seasonal service (between March and October) from Manchester to the Californian city.

Manchester-Boston

Virgin Atlantic has also launched a twice-weekly summer seasonal service (between March and October) from Manchester to the US East Coast city.
