Hilton has announced that it will be opening its first hotel in Bahrain.

Set to open in 2020, the 210-room Hilton Bahrain Bay Hotel and Residences will be situated within The Avenues development, a new retail site in the district of Manama due to open later this year.

The hotel will have 150 apartments and 60 suites, all with direct access to the Corniche waterfront, alongside four restaurants, a swimming pool, a spa and a gym.

Hilton’s vice president of Development for the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey, Carlos Khneisser, said:

“We are continuing to sustain rapid growth across the GCC [Gulf Cooperation Council] under a range of brands and all these hotels represent quality locations and valuable additions to our portfolio. Working in strong partnership with owners such as KFCD and Mabanee, on a continued basis allows us to expand more quickly and more strategically.  We look forward to working together on identifying further opportunities, as well as progressing the projects we are already developing together.”
