Cathay Pacific has announced plans to increase frequencies between Manchester and Hong Kong to daily from December 1.

The carrier currently operates the routes four times-weekly, and this will increase to five flights per week from June 2.

Cathay had recently announced its intention to move to a six times-weekly service from December 1, but this decision has now been superceded with this latest announcement to offer a daily service from the same date.

The airline will also introduce its new-generation A350-900 aircraft onto the route from June, replacing the current B777-300ER.

From December 1 the schedules for the Manchester-Hong Kong service will be as follows:

  • CX357 departs Hong Kong at 0110, arriving into Manchester at 0620
  • CX358 departs Manchester at 1155, arriving into Hong Kong at 0730 the following day
