Easyjet Plus, the membership programme for Easyjet flyers, is increasing its membership fee from £170 to £199.

The increase will occur from the next renewal for members.

Easyjet communicated the price increase at the same time as detailing two new benefits of the programme.

These are:

  • A price promise: “If you find the same flight on easyjet.com at a lower price, we’ll give you the price difference towards your next flight.”

and

  • Earlier flight for free: “Get an earlier return flight home on the same day at no extra cost.”

The existing benefits continue:

  • Complimentary allocated seating
  • Dedicated bag-drop desk
  • Fast-track security
  • Speedy boarding
  • Additional cabin bag: a second under-seat bag (handbag/laptop) in addition to the main cabin bag (56 x 45 x 25cm).

Commenting on the price increase a spokesperson for Easyjet said:

“Easyjet has recently made some changes to further reward its loyal customers who are members of its popular Easyjet plus scheme. Our ‘Price Promise’ and ‘Earlier flight for free’ products will be available exclusively to Easyjet plus cardholders and Flight Club members. This is on top of the other benefits of Easyjet Plus which include complimentary upfront or extra legroom seats, dedicated bag drop, fast track security at selected airports, speedy boarding and an extra cabin bag.

“Price promise means that if any Easyjet Plus customers find the same flight on easyjet.com at a lower price, we’ll give you the price difference towards your next flight and ‘Earlier flight for free’ means that if there is availability you can transfer onto an earlier flight departing on the same day for free. This usually costs £20.”
