Point A Hotels has launched in the UK, promising “the most comfortable beds, proper power showers and fast and free wifi”.

Part of the Queensway group, the brand will open two hotels on Bath Street in Glasgow and Paul Street in London’s Shoreditch this month, before adding five London properties in March.

These forthcoming hotels will see existing Tune Hotels properties in Canary Wharf, Westminster, Kings Cross, Paddington and Liverpool Street (currently operating under a franchise agreement with Queensway) rebranded under the Point A Hotels offering.

Room facilities include Hypnos beds, free wifi, power showers and air conditioning, and the budget brand says that “we’ll never charge you for extra frills you won’t use”, adding that “we keep rooms on the small side and clean them every third day so we can offer you unbeatable value”.

Rates at the group’s Glasgow property will start from £39 per night, with rooms at the London Shoreditch hotel starting from £69 per night.

Readers interested in staying at a Point A property can save five per cent on their next stay by signing up to the chain’s newsletter here.

The rebranding will leave Tune Hotels with just three properties in the UK – Edinburgh, Liverpool and Newcastle.
