Hotel group Best Western will add three new-build properties in Greater London in the first quarter of 2017.

All three properties are being marketed under the group’s “upper-midscale” Best Western Plus brand, which it describes as focusing “on providing guests with that little something extra”, including “upgraded amenities, higher-quality furnishings and enhanced style and comfort”.

The 107-room Best Western Plus London Croydon Aparthotel (part of the Euro Hotels group) opened in January, and features Pizzapolli restaurant and bar with wood-fired pizza ovens, and guest rooms with kitchenettes, free wifi and 40-inch smart TVs.

Later this month the group will add a 28-room hotel in Vauxhall, featuring a “night and day” theme, “to reflect the 24-hour nature of the surrounding area”. Part of the Kaz Hotels group, the property has yet to be officially named, but will fall under the Best Western Plus brand.

Finally in March the 174-room Best Western Plus London Wembley Hotel will open in a converted and extended former government building close to Wembley Stadium.

The new additions bring Best Western’s UK portfolio to over 250 properties, with a total of 17 hotels in the pipeline for 2017.
