Radisson Blu has announced a new business and conference property in the diplomacy and banking hub of Geneva.

Scheduled to open in 2021, the 250-room Radisson Blu Hotel, Geneva will be located between the city centre and airport, and will feature an all-day dining restaurant, hotel bar and lounge, fitness centre and spa.

There will be a total of 17 meeting and events spaces, including a 350 sqm ballroom, eight meeting rooms and a further eight boardrooms.

The hotel will also features the brand’s new “Blu Print” interior design scheme, which according to Radisson Blu “combines typical design classics with made-to-measure furnishings and fabrics, adapted to local aspects of architecture and culture”.

The brand already operates four Swiss properties in Basel, Lucerne, St Gallen and at Zurich airport, with a hotel also under development in the Alpine resort of Andermatt.

Commenting on the news Elie Younes, executive vice president and chief development officer of The Rezidor Hotel Group, said:
