British Airways has released images of the new M&S On Board menu which will be available to short-haul passengers from January 11.
The stylish menu boasts of offering customers “some of your favourites from the M&S Foodhall”. Options include a bacon roll, but of course this being M&S, it’s not just a bacon roll, it’s a “semolina-dusted, buttered white roll… filled with a combination of British streaky and back bacon that’s been smoked over oak and applewood chips”.

The menu includes details of allergens, gluten-free options, “Eat Well” healthy choices, and whether the item contributes to one of your five-a-day.
Note that the key also points to items which won’t be available “on shorter flights”, including the aforementioned bacon butty, and the buffalo mozzarella and tomato focaccia.

The menu also includes details on the provenance of some of the ingredients, including the Somerset Farmhouse cheddar, Aberdeen Angus British Beef, and Java Republic coffee (roasted in Ireland).

Tasting notes are included for the wine selection, which includes three red, white and rosé options from the Belles Vignes Collection, as well as an Australian red Shiraz, a New Zealand white Sauvignon Blanc, a prosecco and a champagne.

Each item shows its price in pounds sterling or Avios. Payment is by credit or debit card, or in Avios via the British Airways app – cash is not accepted, nor are pre-paid cash or currency cards.
The new menu will be available from Wednesday January 11 on short-haul flights from Gatwick and Heathrow, with services from Stansted and London City following suit from the summer.
