Virgin Holidays has unveiled its new v-room lounge at Gatwick’s North Terminal, which will open to customers on January 25.
The paid-for lounge will share operational space with a “refreshed” Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse (full details of which have yet to be announced) when the group switches from the South to the North Terminal at Gatwick in the new year.
Measuring around 670 sqm, the new lounge is available to book on a paid-for basis for anyone travelling on a Virgin Holidays package.
Features include cabana daybeds “designed strictly with older guests in mind”, an immersive toddler space for under fives with a soft play area and touchscreen games, and an Innovate area where guests can take holiday selfies and play table football and Xbox Kinect games.
Other facilities include a la carte and continental buffet food options, a gourmet coffee shop, pancake machine, and a Virgin Holidays Service Desk.
Guests can opt for standard entry from £20 when pre-booked (£12 for children aged between two and 11 years), or from £24 for standard plus entry including beers, wines and spirits. Prices are £2 higher when entry is purchased on the day.
Bookings are now open for the new v-room, for entry from January 25, 2017.
Commenting on the lounge Virgin Holidays managing director Mark Anderson said:
“We want to create truly memorable experiences for our customers and we think that begins before their feet have even left the ground.
“We make epic holidays and our new v-room is just the latest example of how we achieve this. We’ve really tried to think of the individual needs of everyone who holidays with us, and I believe the new space does just this – albeit with an added touch of Virgin Holidays flair.”
