Langham Hospitality Group has announced plans to manage a new luxury hotel in the heart of Jeddah, the second largest city in Saudi Arabia.

Situated in the downtown area, the hotel will be directly opposite a new shopping complex with 360-degree city views encompassing the Corniche – the 30-kilometre seafront promenade.

The hotel will offer 238 rooms and 39 suites, including the 295 sqm Royal Suite complete with separate sitting, dining and cooking areas. The interior design, led by HBA, will focus on classic and elegant contemporary furnishings.

Multiple dining outlets will include a Mediterranean-inspired seafood restaurant with an open terrace; a high-end grill concept with a chef’s table and a dry-aged meat locker display; traditional afternoon tea at Palm Court; a speciality lounge featuring a cigar humidor and an air-conditioned smoking room; and an all-day dining restaurant featuring international cuisine.

Events facilities will include a 480-seat grand ballroom that is linked by private elevator to a 380-seat ballroom above (both with private pre-function areas), plus a variety of adaptable conference rooms with audiovisual equipment, prayer rooms, and three dedicated bridal and groom suites.

“We are delighted to introduce the Langham brand to Jeddah as we have been searching for the ideal location in the Kingdom to add to our portfolio,” said Robert Warman, chief executive officer of Langham Hospitality Group. “The creative design of the hotel’s façade and interiors along with the luxury facilities of The Langham, Jeddah, underlined by our legendary award-winning service, will provide an exceptional destination for our guests.”
