Singapore Airlines has been forced to cut five weekly services from its Jakarta route from December 1, due to runway maintenance works at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

The five weekly flights being cut between Singapore and Jakarta are SQ962 and SQ963 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The airline has stated it will be in touch with affected passengers to accommodate them on other flights.

This follows the news that the Singaporean carrier has also been forced to delay its thrice-weekly Singapore –Jakarta – Sydney, due to start on November 23.

Runway maintenance was once again cited as the reason for the Indonesian authorities to withdraw their permission.

A new launch date for the service has yet to be announced.
