Flybe has extended its partnership with the Avios Travel Rewards Programme, allowing members to part-pay for flights with Avios at flybe.com.

The regional carrier joined the Avios programme in 2014, but until now members have only be able to redeem Avios in full against flights.

Now they have the option to offset fares from 1,500 Avios (equating to £7.50 off a one-way flight), up to 4,500 Avios (£22.50).

Members should choose their flights at flybe.com, input their Avios membership number, and select the amount they would like to offset.

Flybe also says that “passengers will still collect Avios on their flight pre the discount”.

Fellow Avios partner British Airways launched Part Pay with Avios in 2013, initially restricted to short-haul flights but since also extended to long-haul services.

Commenting on the news Amy Valcik, Flybe Chief Sales and Marketing Officer said:

“We are thrilled to be expanding our loyalty partnership with Avios in giving our passengers not only better value but also greater flexibility in how they can pay when travelling with Flybe.

“With the ability to not only earn Avios with every flight but also now to purchase flights at flybe.com and partially pay with Avios, customers can save a bit of extra cash to spend onboard with Café Flybe or at their destination.”
