
Qatar Airways has launched a new daily service between Doha and Helsinki.
The new route completes the carrier’s “network strategy of serving Nordic capitals”, with Qatar already operating flights to Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen.
Flights will be served with A320 aircraft (although the inaugural service was operated by an A350), configured with 12 business class seats and 120 in economy. Schedules are as follows:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday
QR303 Doha to Helsinki. Departs 0135, arrives 0810
QR304 Helsinki to Doha. Departs 1055, arrives 1715
Monday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday
QR301 Doha to Helsinki. Departs 0815, arrives 1450
QR302 Helsinki to Doha. Departs 1745, arrives 0005 the following day
Qatar Airways has also signed a new codeshare agreement with Finland’s flag carrier Finnair, which sees the Gulf carrier place its code on Finnair flights from Helsinki to Tallinn and Tartu (Estonia), Riga (Latvia), Vilnius (Lithuania), Billund (Denmark), and Stockholm-Bromma Airport (Sweden).
At the same time Finnair will place its code on routes from Helsinki to Doha and beyond to Manama, (Bahrain), Muscat (Oman), Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban (South Africa), Malé (Maldives), Mahé, (Seychelles – effective December 12 when operations commence), and Colombo (Sri Lanka).
