Qatar Airways has introduced Apple Pay to its list of payment options, allowing passengers to book journeys securely on their mobile phones or tablets.
Available on iOS compatible devices, Apple Pay lets customers book journeys through Qatar Airways using passcode or fingerprint technology that links directly to their debit or credit card.
To use the service, registered customers must select the Apple Pay option on the summary page when booking online or through the airline’s app.
Commenting on the new service, Dr. Hugh Dunleavy, Qatar Airways’ chief commercial officer, said:
“We continuously strive to make travel easier and the adoption of an industry-leading ‘pay wallet’ solution is a natural progression for us in providing our passengers with the simplest methods to book their next Qatar Airways journey.”
Qatar Airways has also recently launched digital membership cards for members of its loyalty programme, Privilege Club.
