Jet Airways will add flights from Mumbai and Delhi to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal.

Currently, the airline flies to Kathmandu twice daily from New Delhi and once everyday from Mumbai.

October onwards, Jet Airways will fly thrice on the New Delhi-Kathmandu sector and twice daily on the Mumbai-Kathmandu route.

After the additions, Jet Airways will operate 35 weekly flights to the Nepal-capital.

Tanay Raghuraj, Jet Airways’ country manager for Nepal says, ”Increase in flight frequency is a part of our long-term commitment to the Nepali market. Jet Airlines has sentimental attachment with Kathmandu. The aftermath of devastating earthquake witnessed most carriers either cutting down their frequencies or discontinuing operations. However, Jet Airways remained committed and supportive throughout these chaotic times.”

The airline began operations to Nepal in May 2004.
