Flydubai will launch daily flights between Dubai and Moscow in September.

The new route, which will be served by a B737-800 aircraft, was announced during this week’s Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition (MITT).

Fellow Gulf carrier Emirates recently announced that it will operate a double-daily A380 service between Dubai and Moscow from August (see news, January 22).

Ghaith Al Ghaith, the airline’s CEO, said: “We are pleased to announce the launch of direct flights to Russia’s capital marking the airline’s commitment to one of its key markets.

“This new route will offer both business and leisure travellers greater choice when they travel between Dubai and Moscow.”

All new Flydubai aircraft delivered after August last year now include business and economy classes (see news, June 2013).

Its business class cabins are configured with 12 seats finished in soft Italian leather with lumbar support and a seat pitch of 42 inches.

Business class passengers have their own dedicated cabin crew and are able to take advantage of Flydubai’s priority check-in.
