Cathay Pacific will open a new lounge at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport tomorrow.
The 679 sqm facility is located at Level 3 in the Concourse G departures hall and can seat 140 people.
It replaces the Cathay Pacific First and Business Class Lounge at Level 3 in the Concourse D departures hall, which will now close.
The new lounge, which occupies the space left vacant by the old lounge and the adjacent former British Airways lounge, features the same design as already installed in Cathay Pacific’s lounges at Tokyo Haneda and Manila International airports.
Facilities include a “Bureau” with three workstations with iMacs and printers and free wifi throughout.
Food and beverage options include the Bar, the Noodle Bar, and the Food Bar, which serves lighter fare including salads and pastries. A Thai breakfast is served until 1100.
Cathay Pacific and fellow Oneworld members Qantas and British Airways’ jointly-owned lounge at Los Angeles International airport fully opened last month, following completion of the final stage of refurbishment (see news, May 11).
