Cathay opens new arrival lounge

2 Oct 2008

Cathay Pacific has opened “The Arrival”, Hongkong International Airport’s first airline-branded arrival lounge.

The lounge is located in the area connecting Terminals 1 and 2, and joins Cathay’s two exisiting departure lounges at the airport. Facilities include a buffet dining area, Wi-Fi internet access and computers with wired access, a range of newspapers and magazines and eight shower suites. There is seating for 29 passengers, and the opening hours are from 5 am to midnight.

The Arrival is open to First Class passengers, Gold or above members of Cathay’s Marco Polo Club and Oneworld Emerald passengers arriving on flights operated by Cathay Pacific or Dragonair, whose final destination is Hongkong. Note that it will not be available to passengers transiting through the airport, those travelling on airlines other than Cathay Pacific or Dragonair, or guests of eligible passengers.

This innovation enhances Cathay’s existing premium departure lounges, The Pier and The Wing, which have won this year’s Business Traveller Asia-Pacific’s Best Airline Lounge as well as in 2007.
