Etihad Airways has unveiled a new range of luxury amenity kits for first class passengers, created in collaboration with fashion designer Christian Lacroix and Hungarian skincare brand, Omorovicza. Initially the bags will be introduced on the airline’s A380 flights between Abu Dhabi and London, New York, Sydney, Melbourne and Mumbai, before being extended fleet-wide in early 2017.

“The new kits perfectly balance fashion and style with beauty and wellbeing,” said Calum Laming, Etihad Airways’ vice president guest experience. “By forging partnerships with these two innovative lifestyle brands, we are once again able to demonstrate Etihad Airways’ continuous commitment to first class travel, and to providing unparalleled experiences at every phase of our guests’ journey with us.”

The embossed bags come in grey and plum variants – intended for men and women, respectively – with a second phase comprising black and burgundy kits set to be introduced in the future. The men’s is designed to act as a wash bag while buttoned down or as a convertible flat case for storing tablet devices when opened flat. The women’s variant, meanwhile, is a debossed fold-over bag intended to be used as a stylish clutch.

Inside the bags, guests can find four items from Omorovicza’s “Gold” collection, including anti-ageing and rejuvenating products. The creams, serums, oils and scrubs contain anti-inflammatory gold that the company claims heals micro damage and strengthens mature skin. Meanwhile, additional Omorovicza products will be made available in first class washrooms, including face mists, face and hand wash, and hand lotion.

Along with the specialty Omorovicza products, comfort items such as ear plugs, a comb, shaving and dental kits, sleep and relaxation packs will also be included in the new kits.
