IndiGo airlines, India’s largest budget-carrier, alters its order with Airbus.

It had placed an order for 422 A320neo aircraft from the global aviation giant, the first of which was delivered in March this year. The airline has now converted 20 of the remaining A320neo airplanes to be delivered to A321neo airplanes.

The alteration in order is to keep up with the airline’s expansion plans in international markets; while A320neo aircraft can accomodate 180, A321neo can fly 240. Both are single-aisle airplanes.
