Sichuan Airlines will begin operating a twice-weekly service between Chengdu and Prague from August 12 – the only non-stop link between the two cities.

The Chinese carrier briefly operated a number of chartered flights earlier this year, and it appears that healthy demand for the service has led Sichuan Airlines to operate the route on a permanent basis.

According to airlineroute.net, Sichuan Airlines will deploy an A330 on the route. The Airbus aircraft will feature a two-class configuration, with 36 seats in business and 209 in economy.

Operating every Tuesday and Friday, flight 3U8295 will depart Chengdu at 1245 and arrive in Prague at 1715. The return flight 3U8296 will then take off from Prague at 1915 before touching back down in Chengdu at 1045 the following day.

While the new service is already available for booking via Sichaun Airlines website, airlineroute.net revealed that only full-priced, flexible fares are currently offered. Travellers looking to score discounted tickets should wait a little longer to book their tickets.
