All Nippon Airways is planning to launch a daily roundtrip service between Tokyo Haneda and Kuala Lumpur in October.

According to Nikkei Asian Review, the new route follows the success of ANA’s Tokyo Narita–Kuala Lumpur service that launched last year and has demonstrated a healthy load factor hovering at about 80 per cent.

The Star Alliance member is particularly looking to target business travellers on the Haneda–Kuala Lumpur route by offering its newest flatbed seats on the service – something currently only available on long-haul flights to Europe and the US.

Furthermore, with Haneda being just 15km from central Tokyo – as opposed to Narita, which is located about 60km away – business travellers are likely to favour flying into the more conveniently located airport.

ANA’s Narita–Kuala Lumpur route will continue as the service is a popular option for international transit passengers connecting to North America.
