Manchester’s T2 Escape lounge closes for refurbishment

6 Jan 2016 by BusinessTraveller
Manchester airport has closed its Escape lounge at Terminal 2 until April 2016 for refurbishment works. The closure will encompass the Easter bank holiday weekend (March 25-28). It will affect Virgin Atlantic passengers eligible for lounge access, as the carrier shares the facility for its flights departing Manchester’s Terminal 2. A spokesperson for Virgin said: "As the Manchester Airport Group is currently refurbishing the Escape Lounge unfortunately we are currently unable to offer Upper Class customers lounge access prior to flights departing from Manchester. "During this period customers will be provided with a voucher to use at a selection of restaurants and bars in the terminal. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience and look forward to welcoming customers to the updated lounge soon”. The Escape lounge concept was developed by Manchester Airport Group, initially with three lounges at Manchester airport (Terminals 1, 2 and 3) New facilities have since been added at Stansted (see this news report on our sister website seatplans.com), and East Midlands (see news August 2014). manchesterairport.co.uk Mark Caswell
