Delta has revealed further details about its new service to Shanghai, reported earlier here.
Starting June 17, the carrier will begin non-stop flights on a 208-seat B767-300ER aircraft complete with 36 seats of Delta's Business Elite product, which features Westin Heavenly Bedding, among other things (see here). There are also 29 seats in Economy Comfort and 143 in economy class.
The outbound flight leaves Seattle at 1445, arriving in Shanghai at 0629. The return leg departs the Chinese city at 1220 and arrives in the West Coast for a 0835 touch down.
Delta codeshares with Alaska Airlines and partners with China Southern and China Eastern, and this additional link will allow further expansion and network cooperation among the carriers.
“With our new nonstop service between Shanghai and Seattle, Delta continues to build our industry-leading trans-Pacific network, which provides convenient travel choices for our customers traveling between China and the United States,” said Richard Anderson, Delta’s chief executive.
