The big picture: AA's new business class seat

27 Jan 2012 by BusinessTraveller
As flagged up by a poster on the Business Traveller forum, American Airlines has published an interior rendering of its new fully-flat business class seat on its forthcoming B777-300ER aircraft, which shows a 1-2-1 herringbone layout. The carrier announced plans for the news seat in November last year, just weeks after going into Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection (see online news November 30, 2011). At the time AA said the seat would allow all passengers to have aisle access, but only now has it unveiled an image of the new product. The US carrier is to take delivery of ten B777-300ERs in 2012 and 2013, with the new business class offering set to debut on its Sao Paulo route later this year, followed by flights to London.
