AA hires royal chef

29 Oct 2008 by Mark Caswell
American Airlines has enlisted the former chef to Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Diana, to design its new premium menus on flights between Europe and the US. McGrady spent 15 years in the royal kitchens, and starting on November 1, business and first class passengers travelling westbound to the United States will be able to sample his “quintessential British fare”. The new signature dishes will rotate on a monthly basis, and include old favourite cottage pie, as well as chicken stuffed with Cumberland sausage, oatmeal-crusted pork with a Drambuie juniper berry sauce, and beef fillet with morel mushroom sauce. AA says that the dishes “embody ingredients typical of English cuisine, and flavours that have broad appeal”. For more information visit americanairlines.co.uk.
