Wyndham Hotels and Resorts has confirmed that it will imminently open a property in the Saudi Arabian city of Al Khobar.

Ramada Encore by Wyndham Al Khobar Corniche is expected to welcome its first guests in August and will feature 79 rooms spread across 12 floors.

Culinary options planned for the hotel include AlUla restaurant which will serve a fusion of international cuisines, and The Line coffee shop.

Located 45km from King Fahd International airport, the hotel will also offer business and meeting facilities and has a wellness centre too, thereby catering to both business and leisure guests.

The opening of Ramada Encore by Wyndham Al Khobar Corniche will take the number of the group’s operational properties in the kingdom to 13.

The brands that it operates within Saudi Arabia include Wyndham Garden, Ramada, Ramada Encore, Howard Johnson, Hawthorn Suites and Super 8 by Wyndham.

The latest addition located in the Eastern Province of the kingdom also takes Wyndham Hotels and Resorts’ footprint across the Middle East and Africa to almost 70 hotels and a development pipeline of more than 25 additional properties across the region.

Panos Loupasis, market managing director for Türkiye, the Middle East and Africa at Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, said, “Ramada Encore by Wyndham Al Khobar Corniche embodies the brand’s ethos of contemporary comfort and warm hospitality. This latest opening marks an important step in our expansion in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where we recently re-introduced direct franchising and management rights for our Ramada brand and are investing in local resources to complement our growth.

“There is a significant need for high-quality mid-scale hotels in the kingdom and we are committed to ensuring we make hotel travel more inclusive and less exclusive.”

Wyndham’s Ramada Encore has been expanding its global presence too. In June, Wyndham debuted its Ramada Encore brand in Japan. Ramada Encore by Wyndham Amagasaki is a 235-key conversion project and is the first international hotel brand within Amagasaki.
