Wyndham Hotel Group, a global hospitality chain based in the United States of America, plans to launch its mid-market, full-service brand, Wyndham Garden in India.
The group operates its brands including Ramada Plaza, Howard Johnson’s Days and Ramada Encore in the country.
“India is growing towards mid-market so Wyndham Garden is a great offering in that respect. It is a typical business or a leisure destination hotel. It is similar to Ramada but with a different look and feel. It will work well in a metro or leisure destination. We want to launch it in the next six-eight months,” says Deepika Arora, regional vice president-Eurasia, Wyndham Hotel Group.
The hotel group operates 26 properties in India, with another 41 hotels underway. It is focussing its new openings in tier II cities.
