Singapore-based hospitality management and building solutions firm Louis T Collection has announced the official opening of the Quay Perth Hotel in the capital of Western Australia on June 10.

The new 80-room boutique hotel is located close to Perth’s central business district and overlooks the Elizabeth Quay and the Swan River. The Esplanade railway station is also easily accessible.

The 80 guest rooms in the hotel are divided into five categories, with sizes ranging from 17 to 41 sqm. Each room has a king- or queen-sized bed, with twin beds optional in studio rooms. Other in-room amenities include coffee and tea service, in-room safes, smart TV, bar fridge and complimentary Wi-Fi. Quay-facing rooms feature bay windows with views of the waterfront.

There are two in-house dining outlets. The HQ Bar & Kitchen perched on the top floor of the hotel is a rooftop bar and kitchen, which features a Chinese-inspired menu with local twists as well as a selection of craft beers, artisan cocktails and locally grown wines in Western Australia. The open-air terrace, with a resident DJ, offers an uninterrupted view of the Elizabeth Quay.

The hotel’s “all-day sidewalk eatery” is called Community at Quay, serving specialty premium coffee, local pastries, handcrafted sandwiches, burgers, salads, juices and smoothies. A selection of Western Australian Wines, bottled beers and ciders are also available in the evening.

Quay Perth Hotel - Co-working space

Meanwhile, the hotel also has a full service, 24/7 co-working space called LEVEL NINE. The space is equipped with 10 individual offices, eight window desks with 180-degree views of the Elizabeth Quay and the Swan River, a long communal workstation designed as dedicated desks, and a 10-seater boardroom that can be partitioned into two meeting rooms, with each accommodating five people.

There are ambassadors on duty between 9am to 5pm on weekdays. Two private phone booths, charging towers, printing, scanning and other business services are offered. Co-working space users can order coffee and food from Community at Quay with access to offers and discounts within the hotel. A kitchenette with tea and coffee making facilities is also available for use.

This new property is the latest addition to the hotel collection of Louis T Collection, founded in 2014 with a current portfolio of seven hotels in Australia, Thailand, Cambodia, Sri Lanka and Paris. The new Quay Perth Hotel is an AU$10 million (US$6.97 million) redevelopment from the former New Esplanade Hotel, which was the successor to the city’s iconic old Esplanade Hotel, a once popular social gathering spot demolished in 1972.
