Sarovar Hotels and Resorts has signed a new deal in Dahisar, a neighbourhood on the northern periphery of Mumbai — Royal Hometel Suites.

The homegrown hospitality group has recently been on an expansion spree in India and Africa. Currently, it has over 75 operating hotels.

Royal Hometel Suites, Dahisar (not pictured) is a 112-suite hotel, scheduled to open later this year. It will feature an all-day restaurant, a bar, banquet halls, conference and meeting rooms, a swimming pool and a gym.

Anil Madhok, the executive chairman at Sarovar Hotels and Resorts, says, “We are delighted to sign yet another hotel in Mumbai, which is one of our most significant markets. We are already present in Mumbai with all of our three brands Sarovar Premiere, Sarovar Portico and Hometel. With this new addition, we look forward to further growth in this city.  It is an important location for us and a significant addition to our portfolio.”

Sarovar Premiere is the group’s 5-star brand, Sarovar Portico has 3- and 4-star properties under its label, and Hometel is Sarovar’s “economy hotel” brand.

This year and the next will see Sarovar Hotels and Resorts launch properties in Raipur, Mahipalpur and Jaisalmer in India, and in Lusaka and Zambia in Africa.
