Marriott Hotels will open its first Westin Hotel in east India in Kolkata this August.

It is currently only open for events with five meeting spaces, ten individual function rooms including three ballrooms that sprawl across 5,760 sqm.

The hotel is situated close to the International Convention Centre and is 8km away from Kolkata International Airport.

It will have 314 rooms including 21 suites featuring expansive windows overlooking Kolkata’s skyline. Room facilities will include a coffee/tea maker with Starbucks confectionery, an LED television, 24-hour in-room dining and a freestanding bathtub. Wifi will be free for SPG members that book their rooms through Starwood’s website or via the smart-phone app.

Other facilities will include a fitness studio, an outdoor pool, in-room spa service, a business centre and an executive lounge.

There will be one F&B outlet in the hotel called Seasonal Taste that will serve all-day dining across international cuisines.

Marriott Hotels has three Westin Hotels in its pipeline for India – Rishikesh (opening in 2018), Gandhinagar (opening in 2020) and Jaipur (opening in 2021).
