Travellers to Ho Chi Minh City will now be able to make use of a new Ibis airport hotel located about five minutes from Tan Son Nhat International Airport. The Ibis Saigon Airport hotel is approximately six kilometres from the city centre and provides a mix of 282 rooms and 65 studio, one- and two-bedroom serviced apartments.

Looking at some of the rooms’ key features, it is clear the new property is prioritising undisturbed rest for its guests. Rooms are soundproofed and have blackout curtains, while the brand’s “Sweet Bed by Ibis” offering is provided in each room.

According to Patrick Basset, COO of Accorhotels Upper Southeast and Northeast Asia, the opening of the hotel follows growing interest in Vietnam, which welcomed ten million international guests last year. “Ibis Saigon Airport is well positioned, given its location and dynamic offerings, for the anticipated continued economic and tourism growth in Vietnam,” said Basset.

The hotel is the brand’s second property in the country, with Accor set to open 12 additional properties across various brands in Vietnam within the next two years.

Outside of its room offerings, the Ibis Saigon Airport will include a gym, swimming pool and sauna rooms. On the F&B front, there’s an all-day dining restaurant with buffet and à la carte options, along with a rooftop bar.

“The only rooftop bar in Tan Binh district, The Hub offers what I like to call ‘postmodern soul food’ – classic comfort food with a local touch – and an enticing selection of beers and signature cocktails,” said the hotel’s general manager, Oreste Traetto.

An opening promotion of 1.28 million dong (US$56) per night for a standard room with airport transfers is currently being offered until March 31.
