Hilton Worldwide has opened its second Doubletree hotel in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, as part of a partnership with Chinese hospitality company Shimao Hotels and Resorts.
Doubletree by Hilton Ningbo Beilun is located in the city’s central business district and is close to the Beilun Intime City – one of the largest shopping malls in the area. The hotel is a ten-minute walk from the nearest Line 1 metro station and is a 40-minute drive from Ningbo Lishe International Airport.
Tang Ming, general manager of the Shimao Group, said: “Following the launch of Doubletree by Hilton Ningbo Chunxiao in December 2015, we are now opening Doubletree by Hilton Ningbo Beilun… Shimao Hotels and Resorts has been working well with different international hospitality groups over the years, and Hilton Worldwide is a top brand in the industry and has a lot of local managing experience.”
The new hotel has a total of 379 rooms, including 20 suites. Each room offers signature Sweet Dreams by Doubletree Sleep Experience’s custom-designed mattress, pillows and linens. A range of amenities, including a 42-inch LED TV with international channels, wifi, a desk and sofa, are also available.
A total of three F&B outlets are offered at the hotel. All-day dining restaurant Open serves dishes using locally sourced and regional ingredients. Meanwhile, Yuxi offers regional Cantonese specialities with local flavours and cooking techniques from Ningbo, featuring signature dishes such as beggar’s chicken. The lobby lounge provides brewed coffee, light snacks and a bar menu.
Events and meetings are catered for in 1,600 sqm of function space, comprising an 832 sqm pillarless Grand Ballroom with an eight-metre-high ceiling, nine multifunction rooms, one VIP room and a boardroom. All have full audiovisual equipment as well as technical support.
Additional facilities include a business centre, fitness room, swimming pool and pool table.
