Travellers seeking a more wellness-conscious stay will soon be able to explore a new integrated wellness concept developed by Rosewood Hotels & Resorts.

The hospitality group’s new Asaya offering focuses on offering a mixture of alternative therapies, lifestyle and nutritional coaching, fitness, educational programming and others along with discussions with visiting experts and Asaya practitioners. Activities such as yoga, tai chi, spinning, boxing and bootcamp will be offered, while an on-site fitness centre in collaboration with Technogym will be available.

The aim of the programme is to offer guests a bespoke experience, as indicated by the hotel group naming its facilities “wellness ateliers”. These experiences are developed in collaboration with lifestyle coaches to achieve specific goals.

“Consciously and unconsciously, wellness is becoming more significant in our day-to-day lives, in the ways we work, eat, sleep and socialise,” said the hotel group’s vice president – guest experience and wellness, Niamh O’Connell.

“Recognising the gaps that exist in the luxury hotel spa arena, we created a concept that will help establish a foundation of well-being, offering fluid and flexible solutions to individual needs and evolve with the guest along their lifelong wellness journey.”

In addition to individual sessions, the Asaya concept also caters to small groups in its Signature Suites and Villas, which feature dedicated treatment areas, hydrotherapy zones and indoor and outdoor social spaces. Overnight stays in an Asaya Suite with separate sleeping, living and therapy areas are also offered.

The Asaya concept will also be complemented by two skincare houses – Maison Cauliéres and Evidens de Beauté. Asaya treatments also include products developed using raw ingredients sourced from the hotels’ on-site gardens.

Rosewood will develop its first resort version of Asaya at Rosewood Phuket, scheduled to open in April 2017. Subsequent city and resort concepts will be introduced in the following months, with the first urban Asaya scheduled to launch in 2018 at the recently announced Rosewood Hong Kong.
