Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts and Singapore Airlines have announced a new strategic partnership aimed at giving Golden Circle and KrisFlyer members enhanced rewards and benefits. Starting tomorrow, the new programme, Infinite Journeys, will give members access to a variety of perks, including accelerated membership upgrades, room upgrades and lounge access.

Golden Circle and KrisFlyer members who stay at Shangri-La properties can now gain double rewards, while elite members in both programmes will receive enhanced benefits and recognition when they fly with the airline or stay with the hotel group. Golden Circle Diamond and Jade members will enjoy an accelerated upgrade to KrisFlyer Elite Gold status, offering complimentary access to Singapore Airlines’ airport lounges across the world. Meanwhile, PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold members will have access to an accelerated upgrade to Golden Circle Jade membership, which provides complimentary room upgrades and welcoming amenities.

Members of both programmes may additionally redeem their Golden Circle Award points for KrisFlyer miles and vice versa. These points can be redeemed for flight upgrades or award flights, merchandise, complimentary room nights, room upgrades and spa vouchers. Shangri-La’s latest F&B initiative, “The Table from Golden Circle”, which offers curated dinner and drink experiences, will also be available to KrisFlyer members.

“With Golden Circle, we are focused on moving beyond the traditional loyalty model of offering customers the ability to earn and redeem points for rooms alone – to a more experiential platform which engages customers across the travel cycle and beyond,” said Steven Taylor, chief marketing officer for Shangri-La.

Speaking about the partnership, Singapore Airlines’ senior vice president marketing planning, Tan Kai Ping, said: “Through Infinite Journeys, we offer members from both programmes enhanced travel experiences beyond their flight with us… We also continue to provide our members more ways for KrisFlyer miles to be used, both at home and when they travel.”
