Oakwood Asia-Pacific will enter the Vietnam market later this year when it opens Oakwood Apartments Ho Chi Minh City.

The 68-unit property is slated for a Q4 2016 opening, and will be located in District 3 — close to the main business centre of District 1.

It will feature studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments, each sporting interior designs inspired by Saigon architecture from the 1950s to 1970s. Facilities will include a gym, residents’ lounge and a restaurant.

“Vietnam’s economy has been growing steadily with strong foreign direct investments,” said Dean Schreiber, managing director of Oakwood Asia Pacific.

“Oakwood Asia Pacific’s core business is in providing serviced apartments for business travellers; and this is a timely opportunity for us to debut in Vietnam coupled with the country’s advancing integration into both regional and global economies.”
