Hilton Worldwide has celebrated the opening of Conrad Xiamen, its first hotel in Fujian province under the brand.

The new property occupies the 37th to 54th floors of the iconic 300-metre Shimao Straits Tower, located in Siming’s Central Business District. The development is 22km from Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport, and is close to a shopping mall and a cinema, as well as the popular Shapowei dining precinct.

The 241 guestrooms at Conrad Xiamen are an average of 60 sqm. Each comes with a walk-in wardrobe, large flatscreen TV, wifi and wired internet access, Nespresso machine and 400-thread count bed linens. Guests staying at the suites or executive rooms also receive access to the executive lounge on the 54th floor.

There are five F&B outlets onsite. Guests can choose from fresh seafood at Coast Bar & Grill, Cantonese and Fujian cuisine at Lucheng, all-day dining at Pier 38, high tea at Plush, and pastries at French Kiss.

Facilities include a 24-hour health club at the 37th floor; a heated 25-metre indoor swimming pool; and the brand’s signature Conrad Spa. The hotel is also home to 2,000 sqm of flexible event space, including eight multifunction meeting rooms and a 760 sqm pillar-less ballroom.

“We are delighted with the debut of our Conrad Hotel & Resorts brand in Fujian. Conrad Xiamen is a great flagship hotel that epitomises the luxurious facilities and intuitive service that will provide our guests with inspired experiences and define a new standard for luxury in Xiamen,” said John Vanderslice, global head, Conrad Hotels & Resorts.
