Hilton Worldwide is planning to open a new Dubai property in 2018 with some unusual features.

According to The Telegraph, the public areas of the 450-room Rosemont Hotel & Residences will be housed within a five-storey “podium”, which features a mix of exotic plants, mist sprays, even an artificial beach – this indoor rainforest will be a world first. The entrance of the hotel will also feature a rooftop aquarium that houses plenty of marine life.

The property will be located on Sheikh Zayed Road and will also include 280 serviced apartment units. Facilities will include a fine dining restaurant, spa and fitness centre, and an infinity pool on the roof.

The hotel will be part of Hilton’s Curio collection, which consists of upscale and luxury properties that have been chosen for their unique character and personality.

“Dubai’s vibrant hospitality sector continues to grow at an impressive pace, firmly earning its position as a highly desirable destination for global travellers,” said Rudi Jagersbacher, president, Middle East and Africa for Hilton Worldwide.

“We continue to see huge potential in the market, and to add a Curio property to our portfolio of 35 hotels either trading or under development in the UAE is our global recognition of the Emirates’ unique ability to further build a compelling and cultured offering to attract visitors from around the world.”
