Room Mate Hotels has opened its fourth hotel in Barcelona.
Located on the shopping avenue of Passeig de Gràcia, Room Mate Anna has 81 rooms plus a terrace and rooftop pool offering views of famous landmarks such as Salvador Gaudí’s Casa Batlló and the Agbar Tower.
The hotel is a ten-minute walk from the beaches of Barceloneta and Parc de la Ciutadella, joining sister hotels Room Mate Emma, Room Mate Carla and Room Mate Pau within the same neighbourhood.
The hotel’s design is inspired by its Catalonian surroundings with coloured marble floors, turquoise and aquamarine hues and fittings such as wardrobes and headboards made from slatted shutters and Venetian blinds.
This is the 23rd hotel to join Room Mate Hotels’ portfolio, with plans to open two more hotels in Barcelona by 2017. The group is due to open eight more properties in the next two years in Rotterdam, Florence, Rome, Paris and Madrid.
